Local Holiday and Winter Events

Here are some opportunities to celebrate the season, and also events to buy locally crafted gifts!

 

Winter Wonderlights:  This walkable lighting attraction situated in the award-winning Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra will run through January 1, 2019. In addition to nightly lighting attractions, special weekend programming will run until Dec. 15, featuring Colorado’s largest inflatable igloo, food and retail vendors, prize giveaways and exceptional performances from dance and musical acts from across northern Colorado. Brewery Lights at Budweiser Biergarten:  Every Thursday through Sunday until December 30th, from 5pm – 9pm.This is a free, family friendly event that is fun for all ages. Visit www.budweisertours.com for more details.

Garden of Lights: Stroll through the whimsically decorated and twinkling Gardens lit by hundreds of thousands of LED lights. During the weekends, visit with Santa, listen to holiday music and carolers, make seasonal crafts, and enjoy warm drinks. Be sure to check our complete entertainment schedule to plan your visit. Cost to enter is a $5 suggested donation per adult, $2 suggested donation per child. Children 2 years and under admitted free. The Gardens on Spring Creek is open normal daytime business hours Mon-Fri 9:00- 5:00 and Saturday 9:00- 4:00 during Gardens of Lights season.

First Friday: Local Makers!: During your First Friday stroll, check out this art opening celebrating local makers and artisans. We’ll be displaying prints, metalwork, woodwork, watercolor, acrylic, collage, fiber and textiles, and more!  At Wolverine Farm, Friday December 7, 6:00-8:00

10th Annual Holiday Freedom Market: Shop from 20 Local Makers, free cookies, delicious locally roasted coffee from Bean Cycle Roasters, mid-mod home goods and accessories from Singularity LTD., and art from Half Crown Creative! Support local makers and businesses this holiday season! The Freedom Market is a volunteer-run market that’s free for the makers. Santa Visits the Mishawaka: There will free Coffee for parents and cookies and cocoa for the kids. There is no charge to visit with Santa. He will be making his grand entrance at 1 PM. No photographer on site. There will also be an ornament creation area and s’more station set up.  Saturday, December 8,  1:00 – 4:00

Handmade Holiday Hoopla: Shop from 20 local makers, come early to get a free handmade gift. Local woodworkers will be selling their wares, alongside woodworking demonstrations and activities for woodworkers of all ages. Seasonal snacks and beverages will also be available. 12 Days of Xmas Neighborhood Party: Our December art installation features 15 local artists’ interpretations of the 12 Days Of Christmas! Meet the artists, buy prints, take part in family activities and sing carols with Aaron Strumpel. Wednesday December 19, 6:00-8:00
